My Vision and Mission

To walk a path of life-long learning, teaching and mentorship by continuously improving my capacity as an impactful educator.  I am to foster personal and professional growth within myself and in those attached to me by sharing knowledge and by setting a personal example of continuous learning and improvement.  I aspire to guide individuals towards realizing their fullest potential and helping them in transforming into the best versions of themselves, equipped for success here and in the hereafter by planting the seeds for integrity, excellence, leadership, empathy and life-long learning.

Brief Introduction

Dr. Muhammad Yahya Noori is a Professor of Microbiology and Director Digital Learning at Dow University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Yahya is a life-long learner.  A medical doctor by education, he completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College in 2005 and obtained his PhD in Infection and Immunity from the University of Glasgow, UK in 2013.  He also holds an MBA in Marketing and an MSc in Organizational Psychology.  He is currently working towards the completion of a Master of Health Professionals Education (MHPE) from The Aga Khan University, which he wishes to complete by early 2025.

He is a certified religious scholar and has completed his 8 years of “Shahadat ul Alamia’ from “Wifaq ul Madaris ul Arabia’ and an MA in Islamic Studies from Karachi University.  He is also voluntarily associated with Hidayah Academy and Al-Furqan Institute for teaching Hadith and Tafseer. 

Dr. Yahya has more than two decades of teaching experience.  Besides his core subjects Microbiology and Immunology, he has been teaching Psychology, Marketing, Personal Development, Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Communication Skills through different courses and workshops at and beyond Dow University.  He is keenly interested in e-learning and teaching with technology. 

He has been on various consultative and leadership positions and has worked closely with his colleagues and students.  At Dow University, he is a member of various committees including Core group for Strategic Planning, Institutional Review Board and Curriculum Committees. 

He regularly writes about health, personal & professional development, and Workplace well-being, and has published two books on the topic.  He is a known speaker on this subject and is frequently invited to speak on these topics by various entities.
